Candyfloss myth: A poem by Mousumee Baruah

That ethereal earth and serene sky merge is a mere myth.
It only appears to conjoin.
Just like us…. the only anatomy entwined, the spirit never interweave.
Dear, it is the horizon who actually separated the sky and earth.
Just like us…separated by imperiousness.
The more I travel towards you, the more you become aloof.
Show me if there is any horizon on the horizon?
Life is not imagination; neither it is shallow dear,
No, metaphors and imageries, neither it is a verse or a melody to soothes our clutter filled minds.
Life is based on facts, hard-hitting dear.
There is no sky, it is an air and some gases.
Everything is an illusion., living in a utopia.
Fragility thy name is, I, you, we, all.
Hesitate to swallow the bitter capsule that gives us the truest taste.
So let’s indulge in the candyfloss myth.
That ethereal earth and serene sky meet!
