The beauty of nature: Spring canvas: A poem by P. D. Jonakii

The greatest painter
is once again
busy with his hairy thistles
filling in the monochrome, with
splashes from his color palette.
As the winter
readies a retreat
the canvas of gloomy grey
begins to enliven
with tiny dots of greeny greet!
Gradually,
with splashes of yellow here, little
blue and red there,
the canvas transforms itself
into a fantasy bed.
Soon,
the view from my bedroom window
dances in its glorious hues,
with lilacs and peonies,
magnolias and Gulmohar,

all the hues against the cobalt blue!
