The restless soul: A poem by Mousumee Baruah

Like a wind, I love to wander  in the trance
Like a fawn leap and dance

Stagnant water cannot reach the ocean
Want to be a river unsettle, always in motion.

My human soul wraps in the restlessness.
Mind running in races.

Roaming in the labyrinth, solving riddles.
Walking through rocks and pebbles.

With hopes and despairs
Flaws and flairs.

Let not storms inside me subsides.
In storms, I oar fast  with my might

And reach the horizon
Where lighthouse beacons.

I love the restless gurgling streams…
Effervescence clouds in the blue realms.

For I find myself in the restlessness.
Where lies my zeal, spirit of liveliness.

I find my answers and grow.

Like lotus in mud, in imperfections, I glow.
