Shadows Unveiled: A Poem by Dr. Mallika Tripathi

In the shadows, you weave your sinister webs,
Believing the dark will guard your secrets eternally.
No matter how intricately you shroud the truth or deceive the world with skillful lies,
You fail to comprehend the gaze that pierces through.

When you strangle truth, silencing its cry,
You forget, there is always a witness in the unseen.
You may be a master of deception,
But even the sharpest of lies will stumble,
And the hidden shall rise to the surface, unmasking all.

In the profound quiet of your concealed malice,
You delude yourself, believing the dark has no memory,
That the crimes you commit beneath its shadowy shroud
Will never meet the purifying scrutiny of dawn.
But night is transient, and the sun, relentless,
Breaks through the most impenetrable dark, scattering illusion like dust.

The whispered sighs of the wronged haunt your every step,
And the curses of your misdeeds grow heavier,
Chasing you like a relentless shadow,
Unveiling your darkest truths to a world you sought to deceive.
Repentance slips from your grasp,
As fate drags you, unyielding, toward your inevitable doom.
