She was a daughter, a doctor, and the nation’s pride,
She was there to serve humanity and mankind,
A duty of thirty-six hours at a stretch,
It is not an easy task, it needs attention and drive.
Was it her fault that she thought of taking some rest?
Was it her fault that there was no bed?
Was it her fault that the seminar room was broken?
Was it her fault that the fellow was insane?
Parents were waiting for their daughter at home,
Received a call that their daughter is no more,
Leaving them in a state of shock and devastation,
Unable to handle this extreme perdition.
They were not allowed to meet their beloved daughter,
They were waiting at the door for three hours,
Finally, the time came to visit the deceased,
They found her naked, bleeding and broken.
People say it’s a crime to be a female,
It’s alright, some boys are frantic and insane,
It’s alright to objectify females, their body and emotions,
It’s a patriarchal society, and there is nothing wrong.
But this time, the flame of justice will not be quenched like that,
Torturing females is not patriarchy rather a heinous crime,
Don’t tamper with the evidence or hinder the investigations,
Else medical services will be called off forever.
