They rush past me in a flash
They are gone before I can stash
I learn then, that there are some things that can’t be kept for another day
If not cherished there and then
No matter where or when
They perish or are lost
The fleeting moments…
So, savor them, while they last
Otherwise lament, because in a blink they will be a thing of past
Written off, blended in dust
Never place your trust
In the promises of tomorrow
For they bring nothing but regrets and sorrow
Because wisdom lies in availing the chance
Rather than wait for the special moments to dance
They never come
And soon we are done
Living in the myth
That one day we will capture them all
And these beautiful moments will be at our beck and call
But sadly, they have slipped away
Long before
Like the grains of sands that we endeavored to restrain
Time is Now to feel, to say, to love
Rather than shove
Because these are the junctures that
Define us
Moment by moment…
